Drone Photography & Videography Course

Course Objectives

This course aims to equip participants with a clear understanding of drone flying principles, safe operating practices, and regulatory requirements in Singapore. Participants will learn how to operate drones confidently for aerial photography and videography purposes, while developing the skills to capture high‑quality aerial photos and videos. The course also introduces basic aerial cinematography techniques to help participants enhance the visual quality of their drone footage.

Explain the principles and regulations for drone flying in Singapore

Explain the features and functions of different types of drones and mounted cameras used in aerial photography and videography

Set up and operate a drone for photography and videography purposes

Apply aerial cinematography techniques in enhancing footage captured using the drone

Interpret detailed shot and flight plans to determine production styles and technical requirements

Comply with necessary local aviation and safety regulations and guidelines for the aerial shoot

Get certified (passed certification) to be an operator

Upon successful completion of all requirements for this automotive course, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment (SOA) issued by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG).

Minimum Entry

At least 1 GCE ‘N’ Level Pass

At least 1 year of working experience in any capacity

Able to speak, listen and read English at a proficiency level not lower than the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualification Workplace Literacy Level (WPL Level 3)
